How to sign up your members for our service
Individual clients can register below. If you are assisting them in looking for accommodation, please note that we still need your members to register themselves individually. This is how the service operates, and gives your members access to the information for themselves.
Department heads and administrators may register to see what accommodation is available, but specific client details will be required.

Department FAQs
Can I register on behalf of a visitor?
Many University departments want access to our directory of available accommodation for their visitors.
You may register on behalf of a visitor providing it is clear that that is what you are doing. To make it clear, complete the tenant registration form with your visitor's details. To ensure that we know it is being done by a department, please enter your email contact when asked for the alternative email address.
You may only register one client at a time. If you are registering for more than one client, please register separately for each one.
How can I register for several visitors?
You may register on behalf of a visitor by completing the tenant registration form with your visitor's details. To ensure that we know it is being done by a department, please enter your email contact when asked for the alternative email address.
For reasons of security and for our records you may only register one client at a time. Landlords need to know specifically who their potential clients are, and we need to vet them for eligibility for using our Service.
If you are registering for more than one client, please register separately for each one, providing your email address as the alternative email contact each time.
You may register on behalf of as many visitors as you like, providing you follow the instructions above.
Is your service for University members only?
Our service is primarily to find housing for members of the University of Cambridge: staff, students, academics and visiting scholars.
However we also find accommodation for a few people who are not members but are coming to Cambridge owing to their affiliation with the University, such as visiting students. They will be asked on the registration form to prove their connection to the University of Cambridge.
If you have a non-University member for whom you would like to find accommodation, please call us on (01223) 338099 if you are unsure of their eligibility for the Accommodation Service.
Can you help us to use your service?
Using the Accommodation Service is simple, as it all happens through our web site. Register your visitors on our site, specify what they are looking for, and you will find a list of suitable accommodation.

How can the NVS help?
The Newcomers and Visiting Scholars group (NVS) help newly arrived scholars and visitors – along with their partners and families – to settle in and have opportunities to meet local people.
They hold informal and lively weekly meetings every Tuesday morning in Full Term, as well as hosting a full social calendar.
You can find out more about the NVS here, and view their latest programme of events here.
